About the Role
A global management consulting firm is seeking a senior leader to helm its Non-Renewable Generation sector within the Power & Heat industry group. This role is based in Bavaria, Germany or the Nordic countries and focuses on business development and key-account leadership rather than delivery management.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive worldwide business growth and manage key accounts pertaining to non-renewable power generation including thermal, gas, nuclear (including new builds and technology options such as Small Modular Reactors), power and heat, and waste-to-energy sectors.
- Provide strategic investment advice and support market entry initiatives, covering new-build gas projects and transaction-focused mandates.
- Oversee fleet management, develop operational models, and design organizational structures for prominent nuclear and thermal programs.
- Integrate strategic, engineering, and transaction service capabilities to support major European and global accounts, particularly in the Nordic region and Germany.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive senior experience in strategy consulting at the Partner or Director level or equivalent.
- Well-established reputation with EVP or CEO-level contacts in generation, capable of independently leading high-level client engagements.
- In-depth expertise in non-renewable generation including strong knowledge of transaction processes and value creation.
- Willingness and ability to maintain close client relations in either the Nordic countries or Germany.
- Not suitable for candidates from pure market analysis, price forecasting, trading backgrounds, or coordinators lacking direct origination credibility.
