SDV Consulting Engineers delivers a wide range of engineering and project services across major disciplines, including project management and project development. Its service portfolio covers FEED, EPCM, PMC, commissioning, and advisory support, with a focus on industrial work such as manufacturing and processing facilities, energy projects, hydrogen plants, cold storage, and specialty facilities.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Planning Engineer position based in Abu Dhabi. The role centers on building and controlling project schedules, tracking overall progress, keeping timelines on course, and supporting project control activities. The position also involves analysing project data and sharing updates so that goals, schedules, and resources remain aligned.
Key Duties
- Prepare, update, and manage project programmes in Primavera P6.
- Track contractor and subcontractor performance and compile weekly and monthly progress reports, including charts and critical path analysis.
- Spot schedule slippages, deviations, and project risks, then suggest corrective measures to clients and management.
- Carry out site inspections to confirm actual progress and check compliance with the approved schedule.
- Assist with delay assessments, claim reviews, and evaluation of change/variation matters.
- Work closely with project teams, clients, and contractors to keep communication clear and coordination effective.
- Keep complete and accurate records of schedules, reports, and backup documents for audits and project closeout.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- At least 10 years of construction experience, including a minimum of 5 years in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Prior experience in Abu Dhabi is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to mega projects is strongly preferred.
- Applicants must currently be based in the UAE.
