Role overview
UPS is looking for a Preloader to support package handling operations in Surrey, British Columbia. The role sits in a busy, fast-moving warehouse setting and involves handling parcels through different stages of the sortation and loading process.
What you will do
In this position, you will work with packages across loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking activities. The job may also involve using heavy equipment where required, along with completing other duties assigned in a high-volume environment.
Key responsibilities
- Follow UPS package-handling procedures accurately and consistently.
- Load and unload parcels from trailers and package cars.
Shift schedule
Tuesday to Friday: start between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM; finish between 9:45 AM and 10:00 AM.
Saturday: start between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM; finish between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
Qualifications
You should be able to lift up to 70 lbs. / 32 kgs. The role also requires the ability to read and remember postal codes. Flexibility to work shifting hours, for up to 5 days a week, is needed. Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
