Process Engineer

Role overview

Chevron Oronite is looking for a Process Engineer to join its Jurong Island plant in Singapore. Applications are accepted online until 15 July 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (SGT).

What you will do

• Provide support to plant operations by diagnosing process issues and identifying opportunities to improve reliability and raise production capacity.
• Take part in HAZOP reviews and help coordinate them to strengthen process safety across the site.
• Prepare proposals for process enhancements and support their execution as project work.
• Carry out plant trials related to process changes and qualification of raw materials.
• Launch and oversee capital projects.
• Complete fundamental process engineering design work.
• Track process data and product quality trends to maintain conformity with product specifications.

Required background

• A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Applicants should have up to 10 years of relevant experience in the refinery, petrochemical, or chemical sector.
• Strong communication skills are needed to work effectively with colleagues at all levels and across different functions.
• Practical understanding of process design and engineering is expected.
• Familiarity with ASME and API codes and standards is required.
• Knowledge of HAZOP, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and related engineering tools is needed.

Work location and conditions

The chosen candidate will be based at Chevron Oronite's plant on Jurong Island, Singapore.

Relocation support will not be provided under company parameters.

The role will be employed under Singapore's local payroll system with local benefits.
