About the Role
This position sits within Siemens Mobility, a standalone business of Siemens AG focused on rail vehicles, rail automation and electrification, turnkey systems, intelligent road traffic technology, and related services. The team works on mobility solutions that help improve travel experiences through newer and smarter systems.
The role is for a Process Planning & Industrial Engineer - Electrical, based in Gurgaon, with the posted location listed as Dahod. The job may require travel to other locations within India and outside the country.
What You Will Do
- Create a long-term, sustainable strategy along with a supporting business plan.
- Forecast sales volumes for prospective customers.
- Monitor and manage infrastructure and utilities.
- Prepare technical specifications for M&Ps.
- Plan cable harness manufacturing activities.
- Prepare documents for ongoing build work.
- Support production and track related KPIs and RFCs.
- Prepare issue updates and presentations for different stakeholders.
- Plan and implement WAM actions to improve productivity year after year.
- Ensure layouts meet electrical safety requirements and that all necessary measures are in place.
- Train, qualify, and validate special-process personnel, including for crimping and similar processes.
- Develop and execute test philosophy, test jigs, and fixtures for wire harness testing during manufacturing.
Candidate Profile
The company is seeking a BE in Electrical or Power Electronics with at least 5 years of relevant experience. The ideal background includes process planning for wire harnesses and other electrical HV and MV cabinets. Experience in rolling stock components or locomotive projects is preferred.
