Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, neat zoning, and organization of the produce department at all times to create an inviting area for shoppers.
• Regularly rotate produce and remove expired items to uphold product quality and freshness.
• Ensure precise pricing and signage, following established procedures for ordering, clearance, labeling, markdowns, and markups.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain regulations including temperature monitoring, correct food handling, and tracking sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock items as required, apply product protection measures, and set modular displays such as flex modulars and shelf caps to maintain full stocking levels.
• Comply with all health and safety policies to sustain a safe and sanitary workplace.
• Be adaptable with work schedules, willing to cover various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet store operational needs.

Challenges of the Role

• Managing a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting, particularly overnight shifts, to remain alert and productive.
• Perform physical activities including prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Consistently execute repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing with attention to detail to maintain store standards.

Compensation

The minimum hourly wage begins at 18.05 CAD.
