Role Overview
The Product Development & Innovation Manager will be based full-time on-site in Kennett Square, PA. This role oversees the entire lifecycle of product development—starting from ideation and feasibility assessment to design, prototyping, testing, and commercialization of new hair styling tools and crystal accessories. Responsibilities include conducting market and consumer research to inform product requirements, collaborating closely with the company founder, research and development, design teams, manufacturing, and supply chain partners. The manager evaluates product performance, spots opportunities for enhancements, and formulates innovation roadmaps aligned with the brand's objectives. Coordination with marketing, sales, and leadership teams ensures timely, quality-compliant, and budget-conscious product launches.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient analytical skills to interpret data and guide decision-making based on product performance.
- Prior experience with consumer packaged goods, ideally within toy or beauty sectors.
- Skilled in market research and consumer insights to recognize trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Exceptional communication abilities for effective cross-department collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated expertise in product innovation, including concept creation and market introduction.
- Practical knowledge of research & development, prototyping, and product testing methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, product design, or related disciplines; advanced degrees are advantageous.
- Background in beauty, fashion accessories, or toy-related consumer products is preferred.
- Competent project manager with experience in managing timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
- Must be able to work on location in Kennett Square, PA, thriving in a dynamic, creative environment.
