Role Overview
The Production Planner position is a full-time, on-site job located in Jeddah. The main responsibility is to coordinate and optimize production schedules across different manufacturing lines. Key tasks include planning daily and weekly production orders, ensuring needed materials are available, and aligning production capacity with customer demands and delivery schedules. The role requires close collaboration with teams in manufacturing, procurement, warehousing, and sales to minimize production downtime, prevent bottlenecks, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate production output and performance continuously.
- Update and maintain planning systems and adjust schedules based on order changes or supply issues.
- Prepare routine reports and performance metrics for management review.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving planning processes, lead times, and overall efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Strong capabilities in production planning and scheduling, including experience in capacity planning and workflow optimization.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP software and Microsoft Excel or equivalent data analysis tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations, materials management, and inventory control.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective coordination among production, procurement, logistics, and sales departments.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and commitment to timely customer deliveries.
- Educational background in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or related disciplines; prior experience in production planning is highly favored.
- Willingness and ability to work at Mattex’s manufacturing site in Jeddah within a fast-paced, multicultural, and safety-conscious environment.
