Overview
Thor is collaborating with a prominent global pharmaceutical company to appoint a seasoned Project Manager to oversee multiple engineering and capital expenditure projects within a regulated GMP manufacturing context in Ireland.
Role Summary
This position offers a compelling chance to lead projects from initial concept through commissioning, validation, and operational transfer while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of engineering and CAPEX projects ensuring seamless progression.
- Create and maintain detailed project scopes, timelines, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate efforts among cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities, and Procurement.
- Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers effectively.
- Drive project phases encompassing design, installation, commissioning, qualification, and project handover.
- Monitor project risks, costs, and schedules to achieve delivery targets.
- Ensure full compliance with GMP regulations, EHS standards, and site engineering protocols.
Candidate Requirements
- Holds a degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated history of successfully managing CAPEX projects in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong capabilities in project planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Exceptional skills in managing stakeholders and contractors.
- Experience leading projects through commissioning and validation stages.
- Competent with MS Project or comparable project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on utilities, facilities, or infrastructure-related projects.
- Familiarity with HVAC, water treatment systems, Building Management Systems, or energy-related projects.
- Possession of PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certifications.
