Project Manager - Solar Projects

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the delivery of solar energy projects, prioritizing client engagement and team coordination. The candidate must excel in communication and relationship management to ensure projects are completed within scope, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

Client and Stakeholder Management

• Act as the main liaison for clients throughout the project's duration.
• Develop and sustain strong client partnerships to foster satisfaction and trust.
• Lead periodic project progress review meetings with clients, providing transparent updates.
• Proactively manage client expectations by handling concerns, alterations, and escalations.
• Coordinate with DISCOMs, government agencies, and third-party entities as required.
• Ensure smooth project handover after commissioning, including all documentation and approvals.

Project Execution and Coordination

• Manage comprehensive project delivery cycles, from planning and design coordination to commissioning.
• Create detailed project schedules, plans, and strategies for resource allocation.
• Work collaboratively with design, procurement, and installation teams to maintain alignment and meet deadlines.
• Track project milestones, budget adherence, and quality standards throughout the project.
• Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to prevent impact on timelines or client commitments.
• Ensure projects comply with safety regulations, MNRE guidelines, and DISCOM standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation, MIS reports, and closure records for each project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of project management experience, ideally within the solar or EPC sector.
• Demonstrated success in client relationship management and timely project delivery.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Capability to handle multiple projects concurrently, managing competing priorities.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, or other project management software.
• Willingness to travel to various project locations as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience managing rooftop and/or ground-mounted solar projects.
• Certification such as PMP or equivalent in project management.
• Knowledge of net metering procedures and familiarity with DISCOM coordination.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams including design, procurement, and field execution.
