Job Overview
The role seeks a capable Python Developer & Tester to join the Enterprise Knowledge team. This position involves building, enhancing, and maintaining IT systems focused on data management, coupled with ensuring software quality via comprehensive testing measures. It offers a chance to engage in software development and quality assurance within an Agile setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions adhering to Waterfall and Agile frameworks.
- Debug and resolve issues utilizing scripting and SQL queries.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Quality Engineers for story elaboration, automated testing, and defect resolution.
- Partner with DevOps teams for continuous integration and release automation tasks.
- Create and maintain automated unit tests and address production-related challenges.
- Promote Agile methodologies including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and pair programming.
- Design and execute manual and automated test plans encompassing performance and security tests.
- Perform system integration testing, validate results, and coordinate with development for defect fixes.
- Conduct impact analysis of fixes and showcase verified features during sprint reviews.
Candidate Profile
- Strong command of Python programming and familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall processes.
- Experience with DevOps tools and data virtualization technologies such as Denodo.
- Skilled in SQL, data modeling, and resolving complex technical problems.
- Practical knowledge of big data technologies like PySpark, Linux OS, and ETL tools including Informatica.
- Understanding of test automation strategies, particularly TDD and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Exposure to reporting and visualization platforms such as SAP Business Objects and Tableau is advantageous.
Preferred Certifications
- Professional certifications in software development and testing (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, Certified Software Testing Professional) are beneficial.
