Role overview
An opportunity is available for Quality Control Analysts to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Arklow, County Wicklow. This position is offered through Jacksonstone Recruitment for a growing production environment where analysts at different career stages can be considered.
What the role involves
The successful candidate will support quality control testing within a pharmaceutical laboratory setting, working as part of a collaborative team focused on analytical accuracy and product quality.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out laboratory-based quality control testing for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Use analytical instrumentation and wet chemistry methods to assess samples and results.
- Operate and interpret testing workflows with systems such as LIMS and Empower.
- Work closely with other analysts and team members in a structured lab environment.
- Maintain a consistent focus on accuracy, detail, and reliable laboratory practice.
Required background
Applicants should have a degree in Chemistry, Analytical Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related discipline. Practical laboratory experience is expected, particularly with HPLC, GC, GCMS, FTIR, and general wet chemistry techniques.
The role suits candidates with around 1 to 6 years of experience in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory or an analytical testing laboratory. A solid understanding of LIMS and Empower software is desirable, along with strong communication skills, a collaborative attitude, and a strong work ethic.
