Quality Operations Analyst II

Position Overview

The Quality Operations Management team at NBME, part of the Operations Management department within the Assessment Operations group, seeks a Quality Operations Analyst II to lead the development of data analytics that drive informed business decisions, conduct research on quality operations to reduce impact on customers, and foster ongoing process improvements.

This role offers flexible work arrangements: remote, hybrid, or onsite options within 50 miles of the Philadelphia, PA office are available. Onsite interviews and onboarding procedures will occur at the Philadelphia office as necessary, with prior notice provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support data analyses to improve operational workflows and identify issues, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to develop and execute innovative solutions.
• Use analytical tools such as R or Python to interpret complex datasets and prepare decision-making reports for stakeholders including senior leadership.
• Work closely with cross-functional internal groups and external partners to address quality challenges impacting core assessment functions.
• Participate in or lead quality improvement efforts, including incident management and root cause analyses.
• Develop, analyze, and promote quality improvement metrics for stakeholder self-service reporting.
• Establish and oversee key performance indicators and quality assurance protocols for internal processes and partner services.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated teamwork skills with the ability to lead projects when required.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Proficient in data management and analysis, skilled in data modeling, SQL, and XML.
• Adept at synthesizing data into presentations and reports tailored for senior management.
• Capable of using data-driven insights to inform operational decisions.
• Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
• Understanding of business and organizational principles.
• Knowledge of Quality Management and Process Improvement methodologies.

Experience

• At least four years of related professional experience.
• Preference given to candidates with Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• A minimum of three years working with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab).

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required; an advanced degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from 83302 to 90000 USD annually, typically aligned with entry to mid-level internal grade bands, dependent on candidate qualifications, departmental budget, and equity considerations.
