Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Controller for a full-time, 12-month fixed contract based in Auckland. This position within the Finance team focuses on partnering with Sales teams across grocery and on-premise channels to provide financial insights, support effective decision-making, and promote profitable growth. Key responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and pricing evaluation to maintain strong financial governance and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver financial analysis and assist Sales teams in decision-making
- Provide routine reports and insights on volume, revenue, and margins
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
- Examine pricing strategies, promotional activities, and customer performance to enhance profitability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support commercial decisions
- Assist in key account evaluations and promotional planning
- Enhance financial process efficiency and reporting standards
- Build team capabilities in financial data comprehension
Candidate Profile
- Possess a tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field, with preference for Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in financial analysis, business partnering, FP&A, or commercial finance roles
- Strong analytical aptitude able to convert data into actionable insights
- Well-versed in pricing strategies, margin analysis, and commercial performance metrics
- Proficient in advanced Excel; familiarity with SAP or Anaplan is advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in FMCG sector is favorable
