About the Role
Oxalis Solutions is establishing its first internal Human Resources function. The Senior Human Resources Manager will be the pioneer HR professional at the company, collaborating closely with the experienced operations team to develop a scalable, compliant, and employee-centered HR function during a phase of rapid growth. This role involves full ownership of the HR Business Partner responsibilities alongside direct reporting to the Director of Operations, managing areas such as compensation strategy and Employer of Record risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing employee relations by providing coaching to managers, conducting investigations, implementing performance improvement plans, facilitating difficult conversations, and resolving conflicts.
- Overseeing performance management processes, including biannual review cycles, calibration exercises, 360-degree feedback, bias mitigation techniques, and detailed documentation of procedures.
- Developing and maintaining compensation strategies by evolving the current compensation framework, conducting internal equity reviews at offer stage, and preparing annual total compensation statements.
- Ensuring compliance through upkeep of the employee handbook, overseeing FLSA classifications, managing multi-state policies, and mitigating co-employment risks related to Mexico operations.
- Driving benefits strategies by enhancing plan satisfaction, leading annual renewal evaluations, and creating a comprehensive benefits communication program.
- Fostering engagement and cultivating company culture by managing the employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) process and outcomes, carrying out stay interviews, establishing a feedback mechanism between employees and HR, and spearheading manager development initiatives.
- Leading organizational development efforts such as career pathing, promotion frameworks, succession planning, and leadership growth programs.
- Formulating HR strategic plans aligned with company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), tracking and reporting on essential HR metrics.
- Improving HR operations through enhancing onboarding and offboarding procedures, as well as managing payroll and benefits administration effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 10 years of professional experience in Human Resources, including a minimum of 5 years serving in a true HR Business Partner role.
- Background in professional services, consulting, or technology industries, with an understanding of billable and product development environments and associated fast-paced cultures.
- Demonstrated expertise in independently managing complex employee relations cases such as conducting investigations, administering performance improvement plans, and managing terminations.
- Strong familiarity with employment compliance requirements across multiple states.
- Excellent communication skills with the capability to draft clear policies, conduct sensitive conversations, and effectively present to senior leadership teams.
- Proactive mindset able to identify potential risks before they escalate and willingness to take initiative without waiting for direction.
