About Us
We are the VMS Co-Op, a consortium of rapidly expanding companies in the Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements (VMS) industry. Our group includes brands such as OLLY and SmartyPants, with plans for further acquisitions. This role is part of OLLY.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Innovation Manager responsible for executing the innovation strategy and driving OLLY's growth over the next decade. This role bridges breakthrough trends, consumer insights, and cutting-edge science and technology. The manager will oversee all stages of innovation funnel development, manage a pipeline of projects through various stages, launch new products, and maximize innovation-driven growth. Reporting to the VP of Brand Strategy & Innovation, this position requires collaboration across teams.
Key Duties
- Implement the innovation strategy by developing a disruptive innovation funnel targeting 2027-2030+ including both major innovations and baseline extensions.
- Oversee project pipelines, advancing initiatives through stage gates and successfully launching innovations annually for national and custom retail partners.
- Identify and develop white space innovation opportunities in partnership with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Contribute as a core member in shaping overall innovation strategy.
- Create compelling innovation and category narratives for key retail customers across physical and e-commerce channels.
- Collaborate with Brand Strategy, Marketing, Insights, Finance, and eCommerce teams to deliver innovations aligned with business goals.
- Influence long-term brand and innovation strategy within the broader Brand team, pinpointing key growth drivers.
- Help foster a positive and inclusive company culture.
Candidate Profile

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Between 5 and 12 years of experience in brand innovation and strategy within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
- Proven track record of generating new markets and categories and launching disruptive innovations annually.
- Adaptable and collaborative team player with ability to seize new opportunities.
- Strong analytical aptitude with experience analyzing syndicated datasets, e.g., IRI Unify, and converting data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with multiple customer channels including e-commerce.
- Effective storytelling skills using PowerPoint and data analysis proficiency in Excel.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to building a transformational brand.
- Experienced people leader capable of mentoring and developing others.
- MBA preferred but not mandatory.
Interview Process

- First round conversations involving the hiring manager and other team members.
- Second round of discussions with additional team or cross-functional colleagues.

- Salary range from $147,000 to $161,700, determined by location and experience within this band.
