Senior Manager, Information Technology

Overview

This position invites a seasoned IT leader to steer and transform a worldwide IT function within a rapidly expanding, tech-driven company based in the United States. The role involves crafting and implementing the IT strategy aimed at enhancing employee productivity and operational excellence by modernizing the company's IT framework.

As a proactive leader, you will supervise a geographically dispersed team, driving enhancements in identity management, automation, security, and support systems. The role balances strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical engagement, providing ownership over vital systems and workflows.

You will collaborate closely with Security, People, and Engineering departments to develop a secure, scalable, and automation-first workplace environment. This position suits an IT professional passionate about resolving complex challenges, reducing technical debt, and uplifting operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a distributed team of engineers and support analysts, setting clear objectives, performance criteria, and operational protocols.
• Create and implement a contemporary IT strategy focused on scaling, automation, security, and enhancing employee experience.
• Manage the entire IT technology stack, encompassing identity management, device lifecycle, internal tools, and support operations.
• Initiate modernization projects by identifying and minimizing technical debt, streamlining tools, and boosting system efficiencies.
• Design and refine identity and access management solutions including provisioning, onboarding/offboarding, and access review processes.
• Develop and enhance service level agreements, support workflows, and operational metrics across IT services.
• Partner with security teams to improve endpoint protection, authentication, compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead cross-departmental tech projects such as platform migrations, system integrations, and automation initiatives.
• Investigate and implement AI-based technologies to augment IT operations, automation, and user support experiences.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing IT teams in dynamic, remote or distributed settings.
• Background in leading IT modernization including process redesign, technical debt reduction, and enhancing operational maturity.
• Expertise in identity and access management platforms, with particular knowledge of Okta.
• Familiarity with contemporary device management technologies like Intune, Jamf, or Kandji.
• Experience working with enterprise platforms such as Google Workspace and Atlassian tools.
• Strong grasp of IT support functions, Tier 1/2 support, device lifecycle, endpoint security, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to oversee complex technical projects involving migrations, integrations, and identity management.
• A focus on automation and improving workflows through technology and process optimization.
• Security-oriented mindset including collaboration on audits, access reviews, incident response, and compliance activities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management aptitude, with the ability to simplify technical information.
• Capacity to make strategic decisions, prioritize tasks effectively, and uphold quality standards in a growing business environment.
• Interest in emerging technology trends, especially AI applications for IT operations and employee support.
