Senior Project Manager

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager holds accountability for the end-to-end delivery of commercial transportable building projects. This encompasses overseeing all stages from tender handover through design coordination, manufacturing, logistics, site installation, commissioning, to final project closure. The role demands full ownership of project outcomes, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, budget compliance, quality standards, risk management, client engagement, subcontractor oversight, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee several transportable building projects concurrently, maintaining detailed schedules and milestones.
• Manage integration of design, manufacturing, logistics, site operations, installation, and commissioning to meet project obligations.
• Ensure strict adherence to contractual terms, client specifications, and company quality benchmarks.
• Regularly assess project progress, implement corrective measures, and communicate updates to senior leadership.
• Administer construction contracts including interpretation, compliance, and management of documentation and correspondence.
• Prepare and manage subcontract arrangements, contract variations, claims, disputes, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveying to track budgets, forecasts, and cost controls, aiming to maximize profitability.
• Develop and nurture robust relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors; act as the main client liaison throughout project execution.
• Lead project meetings, address stakeholder concerns professionally, and contribute to business growth through repeat engagement.
• Oversee coordination between internal and external design teams to ensure feasibility and requirement fulfillment.
• Supervise manufacturing schedules to synchronize with project timelines.
• Manage site logistics including setup, transport, cranage, installation, adhering to building codes and safety regulations.
• Monitor site contractor compliance and performance regarding quality and safety standards.
• Oversee defect resolution, commissioning processes, practical completion, and project handover to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
• Have at least 8 to 10 years of proven experience in managing commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in construction contract administration and project financial management.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams with strong coordination skills.
