Job Overview
We are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer on a contract basis to work remotely. This role involves contributing to the development of next-generation AI systems by supplying robust software engineering expertise to enhance how models learn, reason, and operate through the use of high-quality real-world data inputs. Prior experience specifically in AI is not necessary as your general domain expertise is highly valued.
Primary Responsibilities and Expectations
- Develop and maintain software solutions primarily using Python3, Java, Rust, or TypeScript; proficiency in C++ or Go is also advantageous.
- Apply deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software performance optimization techniques.
- Identify, debug, and solve complex software issues delivering sustainable code improvements.
- Lead new feature development and undertake codebase refactoring to enhance maintainability and quality.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability to meet performance requirements.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with precision, ensuring detailed and clear exchanges.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly in a remote working environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with managing or contributing to large-scale, distributed codebases.
- A basic understanding or interest in AI and machine learning technologies, while not mandatory, is beneficial.
- Active participation in thorough code reviews and fostering adherence to software development best practices.
