Overview
Join Web Ascend Digital as a Shopify Website Developer, where you will be instrumental in creating and maintaining Shopify eCommerce platforms tailored to clients' needs. In this role, close cooperation with marketing and design teams is essential to ensure websites achieve optimal performance, superior user experience, and are optimized for conversions.
Core Responsibilities
- Construct, personalize, and oversee Shopify websites, themes, and related applications.
- Enhance Shopify store performance, focusing on speed and user interaction quality.
- Develop custom features employing Liquid templating language as well as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
- Integrate various third-party applications and APIs to extend store capabilities.
- Guarantee all designs are responsive and deliver seamless experiences across mobile and desktop devices.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges through debugging and systematic troubleshooting.
- Work collaboratively with design and marketing teams to establish SEO-optimized site structures.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base regarding the latest trends, updates, and best practices within the Shopify ecosystem.
Qualifications and Skills
- Documented experience as a Shopify Developer with a portfolio demonstrating successful Shopify project deliveries.
- Advanced proficiency in Liquid, alongside solid skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Hands-on experience working with Shopify APIs, Webhooks, and third-party app integrations.
- Comprehensive understanding of Shopify’s theme system and typical development processes.
- Awareness of SEO principles, site performance enhancement strategies, and accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with payment gateway setups, shipping solutions, and general eCommerce logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities complemented by an eye for detail.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Work Environment
This position is full-time and requires attendance at the Cairo on-site office. Workdays are Sunday through Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
