About the Role
Join the Monetization Technology team responsible for developing and maintaining highly available, resilient, and globally distributed advertising systems. The team's mission is to provide end users with seamless experiences by ensuring optimal service uptime and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to all phases of Ads system lifecycle including design consulting, deployment reviews, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure high availability for services deployed across multiple global data centers.
- Create and maintain tools and software aimed at enhancing system reliability, scalability, and ease of operation.
- Monitor key metrics such as availability, latency, and overall health of services.
- Execute structured incident response processes and conduct thorough post-incident analyses.
- Participate in on-call rotations that cover multiple time zones worldwide.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge in Unix/Linux operating systems and IP networking fundamentals.
- Proficiency in programming with at least one language among C, C++, Java, Python, Perl, or Go.
- Experience troubleshooting application problems and handling production operations.
- Ability to automate repetitive tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and a strong sense of ownership and motivation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working as an SRE for advertising or recommendation platforms.
- Proven capabilities in designing, analyzing, and debugging large-scale distributed systems.
