Program Overview

This Software Application Development Apprenticeship at Google is designed for graduates keen on building foundational technical and professional skills in software development. Program Structure

Apprentices will spend around 20% of their time in specialized training and 80% actively contributing to real software projects with assigned Google teams. Key Responsibilities

Eligibility and Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field and not currently be enrolled in academic studies.
• Less than one year of professional experience in software application development.
• Proficiency in programming with at least one coding language.
• Preference for candidates skilled with Google Workspace or similar productivity tools.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity for learning new programming languages based on project needs and working effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Capability to multitask efficiently, manage priorities, and seek guidance as necessary.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
• A passion for technology and eagerness to learn, evidenced through personal projects or continuous skill development.

Additional Details and Terms

• The apprenticeship is not a permanent full-time role but a 12-month learning and development program.
• Apprentices may apply for full-time positions at Google only within the last three months of their apprenticeship period.
• Location transfers are not permitted after onboarding; all apprentices must work from their assigned Google office.
• The recruitment process spans approximately 18 to 24 weeks.
