About StackAdapt and the Stats & Analytics Team
StackAdapt is a leading technology platform enabling marketers to precisely reach, engage, and convert audiences. Leveraging AI-driven processes, the StackAdapt Marketing Platform performs 465 billion automated optimizations each second, seamlessly integrating brand and performance marketing to deliver measurable outcomes throughout the customer journey. The Stats & Analytics team focuses on addressing challenges in distributed systems, emphasizing scalability, performance, reliability, and data integrity. Utilizing a modern technology stack featuring Golang, TiDB, Redshift, Snowflake, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and HDFS, the team is divided into Data Ingestion, Data Platform, and Data Delivery sub-teams. This role is remote-first and open to candidates across Canada.
About the Data Delivery Team
This team transforms fundamental data into insights and products that serve customers directly. Responsibilities include developing pipelines, services, and APIs powering reporting, billing, pacing, and analytics functions. Collaborating closely with Product and Web teams, the group ensures data accuracy, accessibility, and usability for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Create scalable, distributed real-time microservices primarily in Go
- Handle large datasets using databases such as Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Redis, ScyllaDB, Redshift, TiDB, and MariaDB
- Employ data lakehouse solutions like Apache Iceberg and Apache Trino, alongside real-time analytics tools such as StarRocks and Clickhouse
- Develop software that interacts with messaging systems including Kafka, SQS, and Kinesis
- Write code optimized for performance and memory efficiency
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Backend Software Engineer
- Strong skills in problem solving, data structures, algorithms, and optimization techniques
- Experience with relational databases and/or key-value data stores
- Background in designing and building scalable microservices and distributed systems
