Supervisor - Electrical Maintenance

Job Overview

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor ensures the effective supervision of maintenance, servicing, and repair for all electrical systems and equipment. This position enforces compliance with operational standards and procedures while promoting safety and efficiency in daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance activities for electrical systems including low and medium voltage equipment, switchgear, control panels, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Review and allocate daily work orders to team members, prioritizing tasks for timely execution.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planning to schedule and implement necessary repair and maintenance works.
• Engage with end users to communicate regarding repairs, replacements, modifications, calibrations, and preventive maintenance to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor spare parts inventory, recommend stocking levels, and manage procurement processes efficiently.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to secure timely delivery of spares and materials.
• Support the review of new projects and modifications by assessing electrical feasibility and compliance.
• Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of electrical systems ensuring proper installation and operation.
• Conduct risk assessments such as HAZOP, HSE Impact Assessments, and hazard identification studies related to electrical projects and maintenance.
• Ensure all work complies strictly with Operations Standards, established procedures, and safety requirements.
• Promote adherence to quality control measures and standard operating procedures throughout maintenance operations.
• Coordinate and provide training and guidance to maintenance technicians to foster skill development and safety awareness.
• Work closely with the HSE department to implement safe working practices and minimize operational risks.
• Prepare technical reports and advise on asset conditions for write-offs in compliance with organizational guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of a Higher Diploma (minimum 3 years) or Bachelor's Degree (minimum 4 years) in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• At least 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance within the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
