Job Overview
This opportunity, offered through a partner company based in the United States, seeks a Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize supply chain functions within a collaborative and dynamic setting. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of buyers responsible for sourcing finished goods and supporting procurement operations.
- Oversee complete supply chain workflows to ensure inventory aligns with business goals.
- Track inventory metrics, assess supply risks and shortages, and generate precise reports and insights.
- Detect potential supply bottlenecks and implement mitigation plans to sustain service levels.
- Lead initiatives for cost reduction by negotiating with suppliers and optimizing sourcing strategies and processes.
- Establish and nurture durable partnerships with suppliers and strategic collaborators.
- Collaborate effectively with planning, product development, operations, and other departments to enhance supply chain outcomes.
- Enhance procurement procedures, system capabilities, reporting tools, and operational processes.
- Manage maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) purchasing for US operations.
- Utilize data analytics to inform decisions and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, or related areas.
- Minimum of 3 years in leading and developing procurement or supply chain teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong analytical proficiency with expertise in managing inventory and supply chain performance indicators.
- Demonstrated track record in supplier negotiations, cost control, and strategic sourcing.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and capability to convert data into strategic insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Leadership skills to foster accountability and continual process improvements.
- Strategic thinker with practical execution abilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Residency within the continental United States is mandatory.
