Overview

This opportunity is presented on behalf of a partner organization seeking a Technical Project / Program Manager specializing in Enterprise Imaging, based in New Zealand. The role allows leadership of expansive healthcare technology initiatives that aim to enhance clinical workflows and patient care through sophisticated imaging solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

Lead complex healthcare IT projects and programs that focus on enterprise imaging platforms and related technologies.
Create and oversee detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, risk assessments, dependencies, and executive-level reporting.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, encompassing clinical stakeholders, technical staff, vendors, and operational units.
Manage implementation phases such as testing, deployment, cutover planning, go-live execution, and stabilization post-launch.
Support AI and machine learning projects aimed at improving imaging workflows, automation, and clinical operations.
Work closely with healthcare, technical, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated imaging solutions.
Oversee issue resolution, risk management, and change control throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Maintain effective communication channels among project teams, executive leadership, and external partners.
Track project progress, providing transparent updates on milestones, challenges, and overall delivery outcomes.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in a Technical Project Manager, Program Manager, or comparable leadership role within healthcare IT.
Demonstrated track record managing enterprise healthcare technology deployments.
Familiarity and experience with enterprise imaging platforms such as Epic Radiant, Sectra, PACS, RIS, AI/ML-based imaging solutions, or similar systems.
Comprehensive understanding of healthcare IT implementation strategies and full project delivery processes.
Proven ability to handle cross-functional teams and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, engaging effectively with technical teams, clinical users, executives, and vendors.
Strong organizational skills with experience overseeing timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
Experience supporting large healthcare systems or enterprise-wide technological transformations is desirable.
Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including DICOM and HL7 considered advantageous.
Possession of PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification preferred.

Competitive pay between 70 and 89 NZD per hour, variable based on experience, qualifications, and employment type.
