Job Summary

This remote contract opportunity is for a Tigrinya language specialist who will contribute to training advanced AI systems. The position focuses on improving how models learn and respond by supplying accurate, real-world language input. Prior AI experience is not necessary; strong subject-matter knowledge in Tigrinya is the key requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert, proofread, and refine Tigrinya content so it remains accurate, appropriately toned, and culturally suitable.
• Assess, correct, and label language data used to train and develop AI models.
• Share precise feedback that helps improve the quality of Tigrinya outputs produced by AI.
• Work with other language specialists and project managers to meet delivery timelines and milestones.
• Keep Tigrinya materials consistent, clear, and exact across all outputs.
• Spot linguistic subtleties, idiomatic usage, and regional differences to strengthen model understanding.
• Apply strong attention to detail and maintain high standards in both written and spoken communication.

Required Qualifications

• Native-level or near-native fluency in Tigrinya, with excellent written and spoken command.
• Hands-on experience in translation, editing, and localization of Tigrinya-language content.
• Solid ability to analyze language and familiarity with Tigrinya-speaking cultures and regions.
• Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in language work.
• Ability to explain observations and feedback clearly in writing and verbally.
• Comfort operating in a remote, collaborative, and fast-moving work setting.
• Technical adaptability and willingness to use language tools for AI-related tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous exposure to AI training work or language annotation projects.
