Role Overview

Utility Janitors play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and organization at our sites while operating on a 14 days on/14 days off rotation schedule. They collaborate closely with the Lodge Manager to uphold safety, quality, and cleanliness standards on location.

Key Responsibilities

• Sanitize and clean all shared areas such as gyms, recreation rooms, boot rooms, and lobbies
• Collect and dispose of garbage and recycling materials
• Perform floor maintenance including sweeping and mopping
• Sanitize all public washrooms
• Clean management offices and front desk zones
• Daily collection and removal of garbage from dormitories to designated disposal sites
• Manage laundry collection, distribution, and organization within the camp
• Conduct scheduled utility inspections on camp assets
• Address utility issues such as clogged toilets, leaks, and minor repairs of cosmetic equipment
• Replace items like doorknobs and lightbulbs as needed
• Cut and verify keys for doors as required
• Hang or remove wall-mounted items
• Inspect, clean, and replace filters when necessary
• Provide staff transportation
• Complete additional duties assigned

Candidate Profile

• Must hold a valid G driver’s license
• Experience with light power tools is essential
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
• Capable of working independently and focusing on assigned tasks
• Previous experience in hospitality or camp settings is beneficial
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
