Role Purpose

This role is fundamental in ensuring the safety and accuracy of precious metals storage and distribution, preserving customer trust by managing each product precisely and securely. As the custodian of valuable metals, the Warehouse Assistant guarantees that all items are correctly counted, stored, and dispatched without error.

Key Responsibilities

• Meticulously handle and verify every item by collaborating closely with the vault team during receipt, storage, and dispatch of precious metals, ensuring counts match documentation accurately.
• Assist with processing online orders by picking, packing, double-checking, and shipping items while balancing speed with careful attention to detail.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including regular lifting, carrying, and standing throughout a workday spent primarily in the vault and warehouse.
• Maintain the showroom's presentation by ensuring displays are orderly and visually appealing, reflecting the company's professional image.
• Proactively suggest improvements to handling, counting, and organizational processes and promptly report any inconsistencies or issues observed.

Candidate Profile

• Exceptional attention to detail, able to detect discrepancies or anomalies in product counts, packaging, and seals, emphasizing accuracy over assumptions.
• Physically fit to endure continuous active work involving lifting and manual handling of heavy metal items.
• Observant with a keen eye for detail, noticing subtle irregularities in displays, labels, or shipments and taking initiative to address them.
• Demonstrates absolute honesty and reliability, upholding integrity when managing high-value products even without supervision.
• Uses sound judgment under pressure, managing busy periods calmly and solving problems independently with practical solutions.
• Self-motivated and proactive, readily undertaking tasks and contributing ideas for process enhancements without prompting.
• Eager to learn about precious metal products, company processes, and industry knowledge to develop professionally rather than solely seeking compensation.

Qualifications

No formal education requirements are imposed; success depends on discipline, physical capability, and meticulousness irrespective of educational background.

Working Conditions and Benefits

This role involves hands-on physical labor, with the majority of the shift spent standing and moving items. Compensation ranges from SGD 2000 to SGD 3000 monthly depending on experience, supplemented by a 13th-month bonus and potential variable bonus of up to three months' salary. The workweek consists of five days, incorporating one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).

This position differs significantly from standard warehouse roles as it involves handling valuable wealth-bearing assets requiring unmatched precision and care. It is not suited to candidates seeking desk-based tasks, as the job demands constant physical activity and attention to detail beyond a "good enough" standard.
