Warehouse Material Handler

Role overview

The Brick is growing its distribution network and is looking for a dependable Warehouse Material Handler to join the team in a distribution centre environment. This position reports to the Distribution Manager and suits someone with a strong customer-first mindset, team spirit, and an interest in building a long-term career.

What you will do

• Handle the loading and unloading of trucks.
• Pick items and place stock in the correct storage locations.
• Keep track of inventory details, including stock locations, model numbers, manufacturer specifications, and handling instructions.
• Use powered and non-powered warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out all duties in line with company policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

What the role requires

• Ability to lift and carry items over 50 lbs regularly, including appliances and similar heavy products.
• Working knowledge of safe material handling practices.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Prior experience with order pickers, pallet jacks, narrow aisle equipment, and counterbalance equipment is considered an advantage.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, when needed.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check arranged by The Brick.
