Position Summary
Working under the supervision of the Distribution Manager at the Shared Health - Pan Am Clinic warehouse, located in Winnipeg, this role focuses on managing inventory by fulfilling requisition orders, stocking and replenishing products on shelves, and conducting inventory audits as needed. The position is unionized under CUPE and involves day shifts with a full-time schedule of 7.75 hours daily, totaling 2015 annual base hours.
Salary Details
The role offers a salary progression starting at $22.475 per hour, rising through steps to a maximum of $25.982 per hour.
Experience and Skills Required
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is essential.
- Proficient in operating electric forklifts and/or high-stacker equipment, with the physical strength to load and unload items weighing up to 4000 lbs at heights reaching 22 feet.
- Capable of clearly communicating in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service aptitude.
- Basic familiarity with the facility or site is advantageous.
- Demonstrates honesty and integrity as this role involves stewardship of valuable inventory.
Education and Certification
- Minimum educational requirement: Grade 12 diploma as per Manitoba Standards.
- Completion and maintenance of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training are mandatory.
- On-the-job training is provided for the Warehouse Inventory Management System.
- Must possess valid forklift and low lift pallet mover certifications from recognized training institutions where applicable.
Physical Demands
- Position involves prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling.
- Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 55 lbs repeatedly from floor-level to shelving units.
- Capability to maneuver carts or pallets weighing as much as 2100 lbs.
- Willingness to work in confined spaces or elevated areas, involving carrying items over obstacles and physical twisting movements.
- Operation of equipment to handle palletized goods on racks up to 22 feet high.
- Handling hazardous materials in line with WHMIS safety regulations.
Additional Conditions
The role requires candidates to undergo and maintain current Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check at their own expense. Security checks must be less than six months old at the start of employment.
