Accommodation Self Checker

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual for the position of Accommodation Self Checker, a senior housekeeping role within our hotel. This role involves independently cleaning guest rooms and performing your own final quality inspections to guarantee guest readiness without needing secondary supervision. You will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of the hotel and ensuring every room meets exacting cleanliness and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, and common areas throughout the hotel.
• Conducting thorough self-inspections of your completed work to ensure flawless standards, including checking linen quality.
• Reporting any room defects or maintenance issues promptly to management or the maintenance department.
• Following departmental procedures to provide top-quality service.
• Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of all accommodation services, hotel facilities, products, and opening hours.
• Attending training sessions as required by management.

Experience and Skills Required

• A minimum of six months' experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel environment as an Accommodation Assistant or Housekeeper, or
• Supervisory experience in a smaller hotel or guest house setting.
• Proven ability to clean rooms to a high standard such that your work requires no further checking.
• Excellent personal presentation and a positive attitude.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a good command of English.
• Experience in a cleaning role is a strong advantage.

Working Hours and Eligibility

The working hours for this position are typically from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, covering both midweek and weekend days, up to five days per week. This schedule means the role is unsuitable for students due to required shifts during term time.
