Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to play a crucial role in elevating financial performance within the Lovehoney Group. Collaborating closely with the Accounting Manager and finance team, this position centers on operational accounting duties, including the timely and precise execution of month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate blends financial accuracy with creative problem-solving and strives to enhance accounting methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting tasks for designated EMEA entities.
• Prepare general ledger entries, accruals, and reconcile accounts.
• Assist and execute closing activities at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and address discrepancies in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Drive improvement, standardization, and automation of accounting workflows, including leveraging AI tools.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess an accounting certification such as Tax Clerk or another relevant finance qualification.
• Demonstrate hands-on operational accounting experience with strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB).
• Proficient in Excel, with preferable experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Exhibit a practical, organized, and precise working approach combined with technical interest in automation and AI applications.
• Fluent professional English and good German communication skills, both spoken and written.
