Overview

This position is responsible for administering, monitoring, and maintaining network element management systems such as Huawei, ZTE, PI Works, and Aviat. The role ensures system stability, availability, and compliance, while providing accurate data for reporting and regulatory obligations, including submissions to the National Communications Authority (NCA).

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor network management platforms ensuring full support and high availability.
Analyze hardware and software elements of management systems to sustain optimal function and performance.
Identify and execute opportunities for automation through scripting and workflow enhancement to improve efficiency.
Validate and ensure projects align with approved plans during implementation.
Monitor compliance, quality, and audit standards including subcontractor performance and regulatory reporting.
Collaborate with system support teams to diagnose issues and deliver timely, operational solutions.
Examine system issues leveraging logs and configurations to identify root causes.
Track system health, analyze incident trends, escalate anomalies, and recommend preventive measures.
Document work orders related to system support, confirming implementations and investigating deviations.
Coordinate and analyze site visits and surveys to support project execution and network integration.
Oversee project progress and risks, reporting and managing deviations in line with timelines, costs, and scope.
Assess impact of changes, upgrades, and patches on system architecture, and ensure risks are mitigated.
Manage system access controls and user accounts to ensure security and compliance.
Prepare and submit required data files to NCA in timely and complete manner, ensuring proper validation and backups.
Serve as a primary contact for customers and third parties, managing issue resolution effectively.
Communicate technical findings and risks clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Perform additional duties as assigned related to the network systems support function.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications relevant to the field are advantageous.
At least three years of experience in a similar position within IT or telecommunications environments.

Technical Knowledge

Basic understanding of telecommunications domains including Packet-Switched/Core, RAN, and Transmission networks.
Experience in database administration practices.
Proficient in Linux/UNIX system administration.
Knowledge of operating system support tools, preferably Huawei and ZTE platforms.
Skills in scripting and system platform integrations.
