Arabic Language Expert - Remote Contract Position

About the Role

This contract role as an Arabic Language Expert offers fully remote, flexible hours where you will contribute to improving leading AI models. The position involves reviewing AI-generated bilingual content in Arabic and English, focusing on ensuring responses are accurate, logically reasoned, and clearly explained. You will analyze solutions for correctness and clarity, fact-check information, provide constructive feedback, and generate high-quality training material that enhances AI performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Create detailed prompts and responses across various subjects to guide AI learning processes.
• Review and rank AI outputs to improve their accuracy, fluency, and adherence to context.
• Detect and document any inaccuracies, biases, or reasoning flaws within the AI models.

Candidate Profile

• Holds at least a bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Arabic Language, Communications, Journalism, or related disciplines.
• Possesses native or near-native Arabic language skills, including strong writing and editing in Modern Standard Arabic and preferably one major dialect such as Egyptian Arabic.
• Has proficiency at C1 level or above in English reading and writing to support bilingual evaluation.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years' professional experience in translation, localization, editorial quality assurance, content quality control, or linguistic review.
• Exhibits a high level of attention to detail and consistently applies evaluation rubrics effectively in a high-volume, hourly contractor setting.
• Demonstrates strong fact-checking skills using reputable sources when required by tasks.
• Can identify gaps in reasoning, methodological errors, and unclear explanations even in fluent language content.
• Thrives working independently in a remote and asynchronous work environment with dependable communication and availability.
• Experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluation is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Arabic localization conventions for MENA, including terminology, formatting, and cultural nuances, is an advantage.
