Architect Inspector

Role overview

Trust Engineering, Architecture & Management is looking for a careful and experienced Architect Inspector to support construction supervision on residential developments in Doha, Qatar. The role suits someone with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience who can confirm that architectural works are delivered to the right drawings, specifications, local rules, and quality benchmarks.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day inspections of architectural activities, including finishing, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, façade execution, and fit-out work.
• Check that site execution matches approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and approved material submissions.
• Track contractor workmanship and overall performance to keep quality at the expected level.
• Confirm that the work complies with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and the requirements of the relevant authorities.
• Examine shop drawings and material submissions connected to architectural scope.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs) whenever needed.
• Liaise with structural, MEP, and other discipline teams to prevent clashes and keep site progress moving smoothly.
• Make sure health and safety practices are followed on site.
• Take part in snagging, de-snagging, and handover activities.
• Join site coordination meetings and contribute technical advice when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in construction supervision, especially on residential villa and apartment projects in Qatar or the GCC.
• Solid understanding of finishing works and architectural detailing.
• Knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local authority procedures is necessary.
• Background with engineering consultancy firms is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office is expected.
• Strong ability to prepare reports and maintain documentation.
• Good coordination and communication skills are essential.
• MMUP/UPDA registration is preferred.
