About the Role
The Regulatory team drives the navigation of complex and evolving legal and regulatory frameworks that influence Uber's Mobility and Delivery sectors. Their key objective is to maintain compliance, manage operational licenses, and engage proactively with regulators locally.
As an Associate Program Manager within the West Regulatory Team, you will serve as a vital link between legal specialists and regional operational teams, ensuring Uber's growth is compliant, safe, and efficient across the Western markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a broad spectrum of regulatory, legal, and operational initiatives.
- Manage regulatory inquiries and investigations by organizing, coordinating, and providing detailed responses to data demands, requests for information, internal assessments, and reporting requirements.
- Support legal teams in comprehensive research of statutes, city licenses, and regulations to guarantee ongoing compliance.
- Prepare and submit electronic filings and public comments to local regulatory bodies.
- Supervise the entire permit acquisition process, ensuring timely certification and application completion.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years paralegal experience in either a major law firm or an in-house legal environment.
- Strong ability to research and interpret statutes and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or a recognized paralegal certificate.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this San Francisco-based role ranges between USD 106000 and USD 118000 annually. Additionally, you may qualify for performance bonuses, equity awards, and other compensation types. Full-time employees have eligibility for a 401(k) plan and various other benefits.
Work Environment
The position supports remote work; however, employees are generally expected to spend a minimum of 50% of their time working onsite to foster collaboration and maintain Uber's culture.
