Role Overview

We are seeking a Biology Expert holding a PhD or Master’s degree to engage full-time in designing and solving advanced biology problems to investigate the capabilities and limitations of large language models (LLMs). The position involves collaborating closely with LLM researchers to ensure problem types align with evaluation objectives and to assist in fine-tuning language models using sharp analytical skills and strong English comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Create and solve intricate biology-related questions aimed at testing large language models' weaknesses.
• Produce clear, detailed, and logically structured step-by-step solutions.
• Work alongside LLM researchers to align biology problem scenarios with evaluation targets, focusing especially on challenging areas for models.
• Help establish new evaluation benchmarks covering biological concepts from early undergraduate to PhD levels.
• Simplify complex biological topics into easy-to-understand explanations while maintaining efficiency.

Requirements

• Possess a Master’s or PhD degree in Biology or related disciplines.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and research skills related to biology.
• Capable of delivering constructive feedback and thorough annotations.
• Exhibit creativity and lateral thinking to tackle difficult problems.
• Excellent communication skills structured for remote collaboration.
• Highly self-driven and able to efficiently work independently in a remote setting.
