Overview
This role is designed for a proactive Business Analyst specializing in HR operations and data analytics to support high-impact projects within a vast enterprise HR and analytics division. Based in New York, the position involves coordinating cross-departmental initiatives, mapping business processes, analyzing data, and managing Microsoft 365 document environments to drive operational efficiency and support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and track progress of cross-functional projects by managing timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify areas for process enhancement.
- Prepare and update comprehensive project documents including minutes, action lists, status updates, and executive summaries.
- Map current and future business workflows using thorough process analysis techniques.
- Utilize Excel and Power BI to dissect operational data, producing insights that inform leadership decisions.
- Design and present reports, dashboards, and presentations tailored for management audiences using Power BI and PowerPoint.
- Organize and maintain documentation libraries on Microsoft 365 platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, ensuring version control and secure access.
- Identify inefficiencies within operational workflows and propose actionable recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate closely with HR, operations, and analytics departments to optimize information management and work processes.
- Ensure all project documentation adheres to organizational standards and is complete and well-structured.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in roles related to business analysis, project coordination, process enhancement, or data analytics.
- Exposure to large or matrixed organizational environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite: SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data cleansing), Power BI, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience developing business process maps using Microsoft Visio.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent communication skills.
- Capability to juggle multiple priorities independently and in teamwork settings.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Background supporting HR, Operations, Shared Services, or Business Transformation teams.
- Familiarity with ERP or HRIS solutions like PeopleSoft or Workday.
- Experience with project/task management software.
- Skill in drafting Standard Operating Procedures and process documentation.
- Involvement in enterprise-level process improvement programs.
- Effective stakeholder management and meeting facilitation competencies.

Working Conditions
- Location: New York, NY with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote or vice versa).
- Work Week: 35-40 hours per week with a mandatory 4-week unpaid vacation.
- Contract length: Minimum 6 months with high possibility of extension.
- Interview process involves 1-2 rounds; can be onsite or virtual via Teams.
- Compensation: $63–$65 per hour on W2 basis depending on experience.
