Chemical Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Red Sea Aluminium Industrial seeks an experienced and safety-oriented Chemical Warehouse Supervisor to manage the operations of our chemical and hazardous materials warehouse in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The chosen individual will oversee the safe receiving, storage, handling, issuing, and inventory management of chemicals while ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily chemical warehouse activities including the receipt, storage, handling, dispatch, and inventory control of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Ensure proper classification, labeling, segregation, and storage of chemicals based on their characteristics and compatibility.
• Conduct routine safety inspections within the warehouse to identify and mitigate risks.
• Monitor environmental and storage conditions to maintain chemicals under safe and appropriate conditions.
• Implement and maintain fire prevention, spill containment, leakage control, and emergency response protocols.
• Regularly check firefighting equipment, emergency tools, spill kits, and safety signs to ensure readiness.
• Maintain precise and current records of chemical inventories, receiving/issuing documentation, and safety compliance.
• Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all stored chemicals are accurate and accessible.
• Support emergency preparedness planning and ensure procedures for fire, spill, leak, and other emergencies are established.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Civil Defense, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and pertinent chemical storage regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments, HSE teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to uphold safe, efficient warehouse operations.
• Foster and enforce a strong health, safety, and environmental culture within the warehouse.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience managing chemical warehouse operations, hazardous material storage, or industrial warehouse environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of chemical handling, hazard classification, storage compatibility, and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with Saudi Civil Defense, Saudi Building Code, and relevant chemical and fire safety standards.
• Understanding of Safety Data Sheets, chemical labeling, spill control, fire prevention, and emergency procedures.
• Strong skills in inventory control, meticulous documentation, and organizational management.
• Ability to perform safety audits, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of independently supervising warehouse activities.
• Good communication and coordination capabilities, with preference for English language proficiency.

Preferred Profile

Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in chemical or hazardous materials warehousing, industrial facility management, HSE regulation compliance, chemical inventory oversight, and emergency response execution.
