Collision Estimator

Role Overview

This position is centered on delivering a smooth, high-quality customer journey while preparing repair estimates, coordinating repair requirements, and keeping customers and insurance partners informed throughout the collision repair process. The estimator evaluates vehicle damage, records the necessary repairs and replacement parts, and works closely with the broader team to help the shop meet its performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Record each customer interaction carefully and keep all case details current and accurate.
• Give customers prompt, precise updates and guide them through every stage of the repair experience.
• Make sure insurance partner rules, processes, and performance standards are followed.
• Follow WOW Operating Ways for drop-offs, repair planning, customer communication, and vehicle delivery.
• Relay customer questions, requests, and concerns to the right team members.
• Welcome customers professionally and positively, both in person and by phone.
• Maintain working knowledge of insurance programs and related procedures.
• Join daily production walks with management when needed.
• Step in to support teammates whenever assistance is required.
• Attend health and safety meetings and staff meetings if scheduled.
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and information meetings recommended by the store manager.

Experience and Skills Needed

The employer is looking for someone with an understanding of repair processes and original equipment guidelines, along with at least one year of DRP-related experience. The role also calls for basic computer ability, confidence in finding answers independently, and a willingness to complete I-CAR training. A valid driver’s license is required.

Compensation and Pay Details

Estimated annual compensation is $49,000 to $70,000. Pay includes commissions determined by location, revenue metrics, sales, and individual results, subject to the plan terms. Bonus opportunities may also be available based on individual or business initiatives. If total pay in a pay period falls below minimum wage, hours will be adjusted to guarantee the applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is higher.
