Role Overview

Join Tesco as a Customer Delivery Driver at our Evesham Worcester Rd Superstore location, serving customers by delivering their shopping directly to their doorsteps. This position encompasses much more than simply driving; it requires friendly interactions and excellent service skills. The work is hands-on, physically engaging, and varies daily, demanding independence on the road with supportive management and colleagues available at base.

Working Hours

• Sunday: 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Tuesday to Thursday: 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and workspace to ensure customers receive their orders in excellent condition.
• Safely load the delivery vehicle and conduct all necessary checks to confirm it is fit for driving and ready to perform the delivery tasks efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding any changes to their orders, substitutions, or near-expiry items, offering refunds when appropriate to guarantee a smooth customer experience.
• Handle all products delicately, treating each delivery as if it were your own, preserving quality and building customer trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within the allotted time windows, providing friendly, warm interaction at the customer's door to ensure they feel appreciated and well cared for.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Develop and nurture strong working relationships within the team to enhance service quality.
• Exhibit a welcoming and warm demeanor toward customers and team members alike.
• Adapt swiftly to customer needs and workplace changes while operating independently on routes and within store premises.
• Possess a valid UK, EU, or EEA full or automatic driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
