Job Overview

The role involves working as part of the Investment Banking Reporting team, with responsibilities centered around data migration, reconciliation, and modernizing reporting systems. Candidates will perform advanced SQL development, data validation, and create analytical dashboards to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Author complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and optimized scripts for performance.
• Extract, transform, and validate data aggregated from various sources.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Lead migration efforts from legacy reporting platforms to updated systems.
• Conduct data reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support and enhance dashboarding and reporting functions.
• Drive automation projects and introduce efficiency improvements.
• Preferably leverage experience in Investment Banking or Financial Services domains.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of data.
• Experience with BI reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI and Cognos.
• Practical knowledge of data migration and data reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in SQL along with data validation techniques.
• Exposure to automation and process enhancement initiatives.
• Excellent communication abilities and a proactive work attitude.
• Desirable but not mandatory: proficiency in Python (especially libraries like Pandas and NumPy) for data analysis.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and constructing data pipelines is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $140,000 to $145,000 annually for positions filled in New York City, NY, accompanied by a benefits package.
