Job Overview

This role focuses on developing and enhancing descriptive and diagnostic visualizations using standardized templates and guidelines to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities include assisting in user acceptance testing for dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

Create sophisticated charts, graphs, and other visuals using one or multiple Business Intelligence (BI) platforms.
Publish, manage access, and control permissions for BI dashboards and reports.
Collaborate with data teams by using programming languages to query and structure underlying data.
Utilize intermediate understanding of business and technical metadata to support visual creation.
Develop descriptive and diagnostic reports selecting visuals that highlight trends and anomalies.
Apply established templates and standards to produce consistent visuals tailored to specific audiences.
Assist business partners and senior visualization staff in user acceptance testing of data visuals, documenting bugs and refining reports and dashboards.
Adhere strictly to company risk, regulatory policies, and internal control standards, escalating relevant risk issues to management when necessary.
Foster an inclusive environment that aligns with the organization's brand values.
Maintain compliance with internal audit requirements and external regulatory issues timely.
Identify and support process improvements and automate workflows using BI tools and process mapping techniques.
Contribute to a Center of Excellence (CoE) framework by supporting governance, performance optimization, best practices, and training initiatives for BI platforms.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or alternatively, 7 years of combined education and experience including 3 years in a related role.
Hands-on experience with at least one data visualization tool.
Skill in developing foundational dashboards, reports, and visual data representations.
Background in designing low-code or no-code applications and workflow automation.
Intermediate proficiency in data visualization methodologies.
Experience with SQL for data querying, extraction, and transformation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with multiple visualization platforms such as Power BI and Tableau.
Proven design skills spanning data visualization, user experience, and graphic design.
Familiarity with data management principles and terminology.
Certification in data storytelling or related visualization tools.
Applied knowledge in business process modeling and improvements; Six Sigma certification is advantageous.

Competitive salary with an annual range between $94,400 and $157,400 USD depending on candidate expertise.
