Role Overview

We are looking for a Design Coordinator to aid in the effective delivery of key water and wastewater infrastructure programs. Under the supervision of the Design Manager, your duties will include coordinating design-related tasks, monitoring project deliverables, managing documentation, and facilitating collaboration among design, construction, and project groups. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely delivery of design outputs that align with project specifications and are seamlessly integrated into overall project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Design Manager in organizing design activities for large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Oversee management of design deliverables, approvals, documentation, and project records to maintain project timelines.
Collaborate closely with designers, consultants, construction teams, and project stakeholders to foster successful project completion.
Track design progress, identify potential risks, and contribute to resolving issues affecting delivery schedules.
Support adherence to design compliance, governance standards, Safety in Design protocols, and continuous improvement efforts.

Candidate Profile

Possess a Bachelor of Engineering or an equivalent degree.
Prior experience in roles such as Design Coordinator, Design Engineer, Project Coordinator, or comparable positions.
Exposure to major projects within water treatment, wastewater infrastructure, or similar sectors.
Proven track record managing design documentation, conducting reviews, securing approvals, and handling stakeholder feedback.
Knowledge of coordinating temporary works and comprehension of temporary works design workflows.
Strong skills in document control, record maintenance, and tracking design progress.
Understanding of design development phases, approval processes, and construction delivery mechanisms.
