Job Overview

The company seeks a Director of Procurement Operations who will lead and develop a robust operational team encompassing Purchasing (Buyers), Vendor Management, and Procurement Systems. This role involves managing the end-to-end procurement cycle from requisitions to purchase orders, overseeing supplier onboarding and contract processing, and maintaining procurement tools through implementation and enhancements. The leader will collaborate with various cross-functional teams ensuring scalable solutions and efficient procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of the procurement team at Freshworks.
• Lead implementation, upkeep, and advancement of procurement tools.
• Manage the purchase-to-pay (P2P) workflow, including vendor relations, procurement, and goods delivery.
• Remain informed on the latest procurement tools and P2P methodologies.
• Understand and enhance Freshworks' purchasing procedures to establish scalable and streamlined purchasing protocols.
• Design and refine processes to accommodate future procurement needs, with an emphasis on centralization and standardization.
• Define system requirements to support procurement operations, collaborating with IT to test and launch solutions.
• Determine and monitor measurable procurement metrics and related improvements.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in operations, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing people.
• Proven background in developing procurement work processes, quality and productivity standards, and policies/procedures.
• Comprehensive understanding of purchase-to-pay processes.
• Familiarity with procurement tools and operational workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams effectively.

The annual base salary range for this position is between 235000 and 290000 USD. Compensation factors include location, experience, skill set, and job level, with potential bonuses and equity opportunities.
