Job Description
The position of Driver at Charis Consult is a full-time, on-site role in Ghana. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the safe transportation of staff, clients, and materials to assigned destinations, adhering to schedules and routes. Daily responsibilities include conducting basic vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness and fuel levels, and reporting mechanical issues promptly. The driver will also keep precise trip records, obey traffic rules and company policies, and assist with logistics and administrative tasks such as deliveries, pickups, and errands. Professional, prompt, and courteous conduct toward clients and colleagues is expected at all times.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Ghanaian driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type, a commendable driving history, and thorough knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
- Proven competence in operating vehicles safely, performing routine inspections, and recognizing when maintenance or repairs are necessary.
- Strong time management skills ensuring punctuality and adherence to schedules and instructions.
- Effective communication abilities and professional customer service skills, including respectful interaction with clients and team members.
- Capability to maintain accurate records related to trips, fuel consumption, and vehicle status.
- Commitment to following safety standards, confidentiality protocols, and ethical practices of the company.
- Prior experience as a professional driver, courier, or in logistics is advantageous.
- Basic literacy and numeracy; secondary education preferred but not compulsory if experience is sufficient.
