About the Role

We are a nationwide two-person home delivery service specializing in furniture and garden products. Our drivers and their mates are responsible for delivering items directly to the customer's specified room, providing a premium customer experience. This role is highly customer-facing, requiring a smart, professional appearance and a positive, proactive attitude. The service operates daily across locations in Walsall and West London, so candidates must be flexible with working days.

Key Duties

• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Contacting customers prior to delivery to confirm details.
• Communicating efficiently with customers and office staff regarding any inquiries or issues.
• Lifting and handling heavy furniture and garden items.
• Experience using Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) is advantageous.

Job Requirements

This is a physically demanding, fast-paced outdoor job involving frequent lifting, lowering, and carrying of heavy goods. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, patience, and an ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. The role also entails providing a comprehensive "white glove" delivery service, which may include furniture assembly such as wardrobes and fitting appliances like washing machines.
