Estates Programme Manager

About the Role

The Estates Programme Manager position is based at Borders General Hospital in Melrose and requires flexible work across the Scottish Borders region, supporting acute and primary healthcare facilities. This role demands leadership of a multidisciplinary team to deliver Estates and Capital programmes effectively, aligning with organizational strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of estates and capital programmes and associated projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team including project managers and officers to achieve agreed programme outcomes.
• Oversee projects, national workstreams, and directives such as WSIP and BCP, demonstrating strong change management capabilities.
• Exercise independent judgment to prioritize competing operational and strategic demands.
• Accept formal appointment to Authorised/Responsible Person roles, maintain competencies through ongoing training, and represent the Board nationally as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience managing estates programmes and leading through change.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with assertiveness and diplomacy.
• Logical problem-solving abilities and clear articulation across all organizational levels.
• Hold a full and valid driving licence.

Additional Information
