Facility Management Manager - Technical

Job Overview

This position entails overseeing the contractual, financial, and technical dimensions of hard facility management, focusing on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and Civil disciplines. The role demands the upkeep of facility infrastructure to ensure peak operational efficiency, regulatory adherence, and cost-efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage proactively in the department's commercial activities ranging from generating leads to cost estimation and budget preparation.
• Achieve and justify outcomes aligned with strategic plans and financial goals by efficient resource distribution and operational strategy.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including defining scope, objectives, execution, and deliverables.
• Contribute to departmental risk management efforts.
• Ensure allocation of both human and material resources aligns with project and contract needs.
• Provide mentorship, feedback, and performance evaluation for project teams.
• Design and apply thorough hard services maintenance strategies such as planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive and predictive maintenance, and capital enhancement projects, ensuring their operational execution.
• Evaluate and defend Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize contract costs and performance.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, assess new maintenance methodologies and technologies, and participate in relevant conferences as needed.
• Maintain strict adherence to project budgets, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to guarantee high customer satisfaction.
• Research and pursue emerging business opportunities.
• Contribute to preparing competitive, quality proposals to maximize contract acquisition or renewal chances.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations to minimize risks of accidents.
• Adhere to UAE laws and respective governing regulations.
• Maintain quality standards consistent with international benchmarks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of senior experience in Technical Services, including at least 5 years in managerial roles.
• Possession of a valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
• Robust technical expertise in MEP and Civil engineering disciplines.
